Welcome & Introduction

Brian Weed

My name is Brian Weed and I am a passionate communicator in Redlands, California. After graduating with a bachelor of arts in communication with an emphasis in journalism at Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, I have learned to embrace the simple flavors of life.

I currently work as the Web content manager for the School of Public Health at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. I am also an active member and former board member of the Society of Adventist Communicators.

My experiences vary by discipline and rigor. During my senior year at Union College, I worked as the marketing intern at the Lincoln Journal Star newspaper. My primary function was to run the Six in the City promotion that took six Lincolnites and gave them makeovers, a new wardrobe, and life coaching, and then threw them into the dating scene.

CORDmagazine

Union College's alumni publication, CORDmagazine, wrote a story about my internship at the Lincoln Journal Star.

Before that I worked as the editorial intern at Sandhills Publishing. I copy-edited and wrote articles for Smart Computing, CE Lifestyles, First Glimpse, PC Today, and Computer Power User global consumer electronics magazines. I also worked as a promotions intern at KCAL-FM, a rock station in Southern California. And before that, I worked for four years at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California in entertainment show support.

During my years in college, I wrote for the college newspaper, was the president of the communication club, was a board member of the Society of Adventist Communicators, and discovered my passions.
